One of my goals is to shine a light on the thousands of notable black men and women in American history who have been somewhat overlooked.
The largest amount of material is about family names. As well as tracking them through U.S. censuses in different periods, there are short bios of historic African Americans with that last name.
I also show how people can gather interesting information from historic military records. If you’re researching your family history, I hope you can pick up nuggets and avenues to pursue.
